About The Maroon Yarn

The Maroon Yarn is a small crochet website based in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota. We publish free crochet patterns, beginner guides and simple tools so more people can enjoy making things by hand.

How we write patterns

Each pattern is written in plain language with stitch counts, a materials list and a checklist. We aim for accuracy, but crochet varies from maker to maker; if you spot a mistake, tell us and we will correct it.
