Yarn and hook guide
Match the yarn to the project first, then choose a hook that gives a fabric you like.

Fibers
Absorbent and durable. Best for dishcloths, coasters and pot holders. Less stretchy, so keep tension relaxed.
Affordable, soft and easy to wash. A good choice for beginners, scarves and blankets.
Warm and elastic. Great for winter wear. Check care labels, as some wool needs hand washing.
